September 02 - On Top Of The World In Ireland

The Gravelroad import label announced the release of the CD 'Sittin' On Top Of The World' featuring a soundboardrecording the August 12, 1970 midnight show and is the the sequel to Gravelroad Music's "Plugged In and Geared Up" collection of Elvis' July 29, 1970 rehearsal for this engagement. It may be considered a "Volume 2" of sorts, but now on stage. The concert was release before, both officially and on bootleg releases.

This release offers, for the first time ever, the complete one and a half hour reel of the August 12, 1970 Midnight Show in Las Vegas, in the original, beautiful stereo mix recorded back in 1970. This show is directly transferred from the complete one and half hour stereo reels. All tracks are 24bit restored and remastered for high-fidelity.
Also included is a gorgeous 24-page booklet in full color with in-depth liner notes and rare photos. And there is also an amazing bonus gift: an exact copy of Elvis’ personal tortoise shell guitar pick, as may be seen during the TTWII rehearsals, on display in Graceland, or in the book "Elvis by the Presleys." You will get one of two kinds in this limited-edition set: heavy, for the electric guitar, or medium, for acoustic guitar. Just like Elvis used! This will for sure become a collectable all on its own! (according to the press-release).
