Michael Jackson's Tops Elvis On Forbes Dead Celebrity Earnings List

The late King of Pop made more money over the past year than any other musician or actor, dead or alive. He earned more than the other 12 deceased stars on the list combined.

Elvis Presley was listed at #2 (#4 last year). "The King of Rock 'n' Roll's estate pulled down $60 million in the 12-month period, thanks to Graceland admissions and a heavily hyped Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. The estate's portfolio of more than 200 licensing and merchandise deals got a nice boost from the late star's 75th birthday celebration as well."

To place on this year's list, a deceased celebrity needed to earn at least $5 million between October 1, 2009, and October 1, 2010.

Elvis : 68 at 40 Retrospective

Jat Publishing announced the release-date of the soft-cover edition of the "Elvis: 68 at 40 Retrospective" book by Steve Binder: November 2, 2010.

Elvis: All Shook Up

The release of the 320 pages book "Elvis: All Shook Up" with stories and insights from David Halberstam, William F. Buckley, Bono, Robert Plant, Ann-Margret, Peggy Lipton and many more was announced by Union Square Press. The release-date is May 2011.

Product Description:

Elvis remains the “King” of rock-and this star-studded collection pays tribute to his enduring power. Admirers from all walks of life weigh in, including award-winning journalists and influential thinkers (William F. Buckley Jr.); rock stars (Kris Kristofferson, Bono); starlets (Ann Margret, Barbara Eden), Peter Guralnick and many others. Entertaining and illuminating, this anthology shows why people continue to be “all shook up” over Elvis.

The Complete Collection Delayed

Finally got an email update on why the boxset is slightly delayed. The publisher Kramerica Industries had a mishap at the printers. They didn't figure in the actual size of the book with the "fold-out" legs, so when putting the package together they found the book wouldn't fit into the custom box. So the first 200 or so books had to be fixed, as in the legs were removed.

Elvis Jukebox

Due for release sometime in 2010 in Canada was the CD "Jukebox". But prior to it's release the CD was cancelled.

ELV1S - 30 #1 Hits

Released earlier in 2010 was a cardboard-sleeve edition of the "ELV1S 30 #1 Hits" compilation.
