April 8 - Poplar Tunes

The icon neon sign of the former Memphis music store, Poplar Tunes, where the first Elvis Presley records were sold, lights up again.

Hal Lansky and the H.A. Balton Sign Company could save the iconic neon sign and donated it to the 'Memphis Rock and Soul Museum'. From now on, the restored sign shines again in the museum that is located close to Beale St. A piece of Memphis and Elvis history is saved.
